Bike art for someone. Features lots of color and lots of cool quotes such as "Melancholy is incompatible with biking" and "cycle tracks will abound in utopia" (I only put sayings I believe in) :D Acrylics, Sharpies and gold pen.

It's rather lovely. I disagree a bit with the idea about melancholy, I find bicycling very lackadaisical, that's a bit like melancholy isn't it? I guess not quite, melancholy is like sad too.

Yes lackadaisical is melancholy, but when I bike really fast on the hardest gear, I feel my body in a way that's pretty freeing, and I somehow cannot think sad thoughts (you know there's always a reserve of them in our mind: regrets, unsaid things, undone things, things done that can't be undone, stress inducing memories and plans, the sense of missing people or opportunities, the list is endless)....I feel my mind as obedient to the way I want it to be, I live in the moment in those moments and all kinds of good ideas come to me (like making bike art, writing a poem, eating fruits off the trees, plans to write substantial things and drinking beer!) :lick: Thanks for calling this "lovely"....I didn't like it so much after I finished, the photo is kinda poor quality too

well, it's the subject and our love of it that makes things lovely, as well as the object of art itself. it captures the energetic nature of bicycle riding and the love of motion and feeling free and enjoying the motion of the moment.
